As you all know my grandpa passed away in October...And I miss him SO much..Not a single day goes by that I don't think about him, that I don't miss him, that I don't wish he was still here...He is always on my mind and in my heart...I just so wish he was here with us, to see his great grandsons growing like weeds...He would be so proud of them and how big they are! He would be amazed at how vocal they are, how great they are developing...He would love hearing the stories of their antics (Hudson drinking the swimming pool, Carter dunking his own face, Hudson constantly gabbing away, Carter rocking the exersaucer over)...He would love it all...I would love to share this with him, I would love to sit down with a cup of tea and have him laugh and smile and tell me to take good care of the boys...Have him tell me to make sure their backs are covered so their kidneys don't catch cold...I just miss him more than I can possibly even convey...He was and is such a HUGE part of my life and while I know I was SO blessed to have him for as long as we did, it doesn't make it any easier...I find myself thinking of him constantly, I pass the licorice allsorts and think of him, I go to Tim Horton's and want to get a maple dip for him, I watch the sports in the morning and wait to hear how his teams did...
People say that time heals all wounds, that it gets easier...I'm not sure that is true...I will always miss him, I will always wish he was here...I am so grateful for the years we had together, the great memories we created as a family, that he watched me graduate high school and university, that he saw me win Henley and race many times, that he saw me get married and got to meet my beautiful little boys...I wish he had more time with them - I wish they got to know the amazing man he was...I wish that he was still here with us...I will always wish that...
I just miss him so so so much lately...I want my grandpa back...
